You must have the Access Enhanced UI capability to view this page. This topic discusses how to use the Enhanced Search page to perform a search.
Note: You must select the Show results in Enhanced Mode option on the Pathways Preferences page to view the Search page in Enhanced Mode.
To perform a search, do one of the following:
The search results appear on the Items tab and People tab. If the search results do not immediately display what you are looking for and you do not want to look through multiple pages, consider drilling down within your search results. You can also sort items and sort people in your search results.

Clear the current search query from the search box. |

Submit a document or Web page to the Knowledge Directory.

Launch the Pathways Preferences page. For details, see Setting Pathways Preferences. |

Select one of the following:

Items |
Display search results on the Items tab. |
People |
Display search results on the People tab. |
Sort By Relevance: |
Only available when the Show scores option on the Pathways Preferences page is cleared. Sort the items in your search results by score. Note: Scores are not visible when using this option. If you want scores to be visible, select Show scores on the Pathways Preferences page. After you have returned to the Search page, you can click the Score column to sort by score. |
