• Requirements for Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 11 on 64-bit Xeon and AMD64 with 64-bit JDK

Download and Install JDK 5.0

Complete the following procedure:

Download the supported Sun JDK for your environment.
Set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to the directory in which the JDK is installed and export JAVA_HOME. For example:

export JAVA_HOME=/opt/java5/

Make sure that your PATH variable includes $JAVA_HOME/bin. For example:

export PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin:$PATH
