You can clone, or copy, a set of master data entries and then globally change selected attributes in those cloned master data entries. This can save a lot of time if you want to create a new set of master data entries which is largely similar to existing entries. For example, if you open a new retail store based on an existing store, you might want to retain most of the Business Location master data entry attribute values but globally change the city and street address.
The Required Changes for Cloning Entries page is displayed. This page lists the cloned master data entries' new names and IDs, based on the original names and IDs. You can change the new names and IDs, but these are required fields so you cannot make them blank. Further, the IDs must be unique for the current type of master data entry.
