Configuration Expert Settings (Objects)

You get the General Configuration Expert Settings dialog window when you choose Settings on the Configuration Toolbar in the main window, then select the Objects tab.

Fields

The following table explains the options available on this window.

Field	Description
Local Machine is the master machine	This is only applicable if you are adding the local machine (the machine where the Configuration Expert is currently running) as the master machine. If this option is checked (on) in the Configuration Expert Object settings, the local machine is automatically added to the configuration and you get a window where you set the Machine Properties during the new application creation process. Therefore, the Machine Properties window is displayed at this time so that you can confirm or change the settings on the master machine.
Insert a default group when creating machine	Determines if a default non transactional group is to be automatically created whenever a new machine is created.
Confirm object deletion	A confirmation dialog is displayed whenever an object is to be deleted.
Sort items in tree	When this option is selected, object are sorted in the tree alphabetically. When deselected, objects appear on the tree in the order that they were added.
Export created servers	Sets the default for exporting new servers in the iservers.lst in the Create New Servers dialog window.

Description

This sets the behavior of the objects in the Configuration Expert.

Buttons

When you have filled in the fields, click OK to close the window and save your changes. (Or click Cancel to close the window without saving your changes.)
