The BEA TUXEDO for Windows NT User's Guide provides you with the following information:
The version 6.3 release offers the following components and features:
BEA TUXEDO System/T provides the client-server architecture, request/response and conversational communications interfaces, transaction support, and application administration for a distributed application. Consult the BEA TUXEDO Product Overview for an introduction to the features of BEA TUXEDO System/T, and then refer to the referenced manuals for a more in-depth discussion.
BEA TUXEDO System for Windows NT provides workstation handler and workstation listener functionality. Consult the BEA TUXEDO /Workstation Guide for the changes that need to be made for the UBB file. See the BEA TUXEDO Reference Manual: Section 5 for further details.
BEA TUXEDO System/Q is supported on BEA TUXEDO System for Windows NT to allow messages to be queued to stable storage for later processing. The primitives in BEA TUXEDO System/T application-transaction manager interface (ATMI) to support this are also provided. The qsample application is included with the SDK to demonstrate /Q functionality. View the qsample.nt makefile to see how to create queues, etc. Consult the BEA TUXEDO /Q Guide for further information on the configuration and operation of /Q.
BEA TUXEDO /TxRPC functionality is supported on BEA TUXEDO System for Windows NT. The rpcsimp sample program is included with the SDK to demonstrate this functionality. Consult the BEA TUXEDO TxRPC Guide for further information on the configuration and operation of TxRPC.
BEA TUXEDO /Domain functionality is supported on BEA TUXEDO System for Windows NT to allow interoperability between two or more BEA TUXEDO System/T applications. Consult the BEA TUXEDO /Domain Guide for further information on the configuration and operation of /Domain.
For the 1997 release, the BEA TUXEDO Motif Graphical Administrative Interface has been rewritten as a Web application. Consequently, it is available as part of BEA TUXEDO for Windows NT. Care has been taken to ensure there is no overlap between the functionality of the Web GUI for configuring and administering BEA TUXEDO applications, and that of the NT administrative control panel applet described in Chapter 3 of this book. The use of the BEA TUXEDO Web GUI is documented in the BEA TUXEDO Administrator's Guide to the Web-based GUI.
