Familiarizing Yourself with bankapp

Instructions in this sample application are automated for your convenience through shell scripts that work in a UNIX or Windows 2000 environment: RUNME.sh and RUNME.cmd. The associated readme files discuss how to run these files. Go through these files to understand the procedure more thoroughly and then follow these step-by-step instructions to help you set up and manage a distributed application.

bankapp uses a demo relational database delivered with the software that enables you to use the sample application. Various commands and SQL code within the sample application (included for demo purposes only) provide access to the database.

This documentation provides a tour of the files, client, and services that make up the bankapp application. Click on any of the following activities for more information about that part of the tour.
