Supported Configurations

The following table lists the operating system and hardware configurations that BEA supports for the WebLogic SIP Server 2.2 release. To view additional support information about a particular configuration, select the "More information" link, which describes component-specific requirements for WebLogic Server 8.1 SP5 and other components of the BEA WebLogic Platform. WebLogic SIP Server has similar requirements to the WebLogic Server 8.1 SP5 component of the WebLogic Platform. The following items are required in addition to the basic WebLogic Server 8.1 SP5 requirements:

  • Gigabit Ethernet connections are required between engine and data tier servers for most production deployments.
  • Dual NICs are required to provide failover capabilities in a production environment.
  • Additional RAM is required to support the throughput requirements of most production installations.
  • A compatible Load Balancer is required for production installations.

See Capacity Planning for WebLogic SIP Server Deployments in Configuring and Managing WebLogic SIP Server for more information.

Note that production deployment is supported only for Linux and UNIX platforms. Windows platforms are supported only for development purposes.
