extends SOMElementalType

ID represents the ID attribute type from [XML 1.0 Recommendation (Second Edition)]. The value space of ID is the set of all strings that match the NCName production in [Namespaces in XML] and have been used in an XML document. The lexical space of ID is the set of all strings that match the NCName production in [Namespaces in XML].

ID has the following constraining facets:

• length
• minLength
• maxLength
• pattern
• enumeration
• whiteSpace
• maxInclusive
• maxExclusive
• minInclusive
• minExclusive

By default, all sub-classes of SOMType do not allow facets (restrictions). For types that do allow facets, the getAllowedFacets() method returns an Enumeration of String objects for the names of allowable facets.
