IBM S/390 with OS/390

Graphical utilities, such as the WebLogic Console, must be executed on a client computer, since USS390 does not have a GUI environment.

This section lists the releases supported for this platform.

The PetStore application requires DB2 version 7.
The generic installer MUST be installed using the install.sh shell script and the installer.properties file (See OS390_README.TXT for details). The uss_support.zip file is used to overlay the installation with OS/390 specific binaries and the OS390_Petstore.zip contains the files to allow the Petstore to use DB2.
Table names cannot be longer than eight characters.
These and other DB2 problems will be addressed in the upcoming Version 8 release of DB2.
