Overview

Use this tab to configure the LDAP V1 security realm. The LDAP V1 security realm offers the realm functionality available in the 6.0 LDAP security realm. LDAP V1 security realm supports the use of Open LDAP, Netscape iPlanet, Microsoft Site Server, or Novell NDS LDAP servers.

When using the LDAP V1 security realm, you must configure a Caching realm. When configuring the Caching realm, choose the LDAP V1 security realm as the Basic realm. The Basic Realm attribute defines the association between the Caching realm and the LDAP V1 security realm.

To use the LDAP V1 security realm, you need to use Compatibility security. The use of the LDAP V1 security realm is deprecated in WebLogic Server 7.0.
