SAF Imported Destinations: Configuration: General

A SAF (Store-and-Forward) imported destination is a collection of a queues and topics that reside in a different cluster or server. Use this page to configure this SAF imported destination.

Configuration Options

Name Description
Name

The name of this SAF imported destination.

MBean Attribute (Does not apply to application modules):
SAFImportedDestinationsBean.Name

Changes take effect after you redeploy the module or restart the server.

JNDI Prefix

Specifies the string that will prefix the local JNDI name of a remote destination.

Any change to this prefix affects only incoming messages; stored messages are not affected.

MBean Attribute (Does not apply to application modules):
SAFImportedDestinationsBean.JNDIPrefix

Remote SAF Context

Specifies the remote context used for the imported destinations.

MBean Attribute (Does not apply to application modules):
SAFImportedDestinationsBean.SAFRemoteContext

Error Handling

Specifies the error handling used for the imported destinations.

Any change to this name affects only incoming messages; stored messages are not affected.

Gets the "saf-error-handling" element.

MBean Attribute (Does not apply to application modules):
SAFImportedDestinationsBean.SAFErrorHandling

Changes take effect after you redeploy the module or restart the server.

Enable TTL Default

Specifies whether the expiration time set on JMS messages will be overridden. If this default value is enabled, Time-To-Live Default value will override the setting on the imported destination.

MBean Attribute (Does not apply to application modules):
SAFImportedDestinationsBean.UseSAFTimeToLiveDefault

Time To Live

Specifies the default Time-To-Live value (expiration time), in milliseconds, for JMS messages. The expiration time set on JMS messages will override this value unless the Use SAF Time-To-Live Default option is enabled, which overrides the expiration time in JMS messages on imported destinations.

Any change to this default affects only incoming messages; stored messages are not affected.
