Create SNMP monitors


Creating a WebLogic SNMP monitor offloads polling of WebLogic Server resources from SNMP managers to the Administration Server.

WebLogic SNMP monitors poll WebLogic Server configuration and runtime attributes of resources at a specified interval to check for the occurrence of conditions or the crossing of thresholds. When a monitor detects the specified condition, it sends a trap to each SNMP manager for which you have configured a trap destination.

You can also use WebLogic Server to collect SNMP requests from various network resources and forward them to specific SNMP managers.
