Welcome to the Oracle Exadata Storage Cell documentation library. Oracle Exadata Storage Cell is a storage product that is highly optimized for use with Oracle Database. Oracle Exadata Cell is a combination of software and hardware used to store and access Oracle Database. It can be used in addition to traditional storage arrays and products. Oracle Exadata Cell provides database-aware storage services, such as the ability to offload database processing from the database server, while remaining transparent to SQL processing and database applications.
