Making an ActiveX Control Available
This task is a step in Process of Creating an ActiveX Control. To make an ActiveX control available for use, you must create DLL and class objects in Siebel Tools. These objects reference the CAB (cabinet) file that contains the control. To make an ActiveX control available
- Create a CAB file that contains the ActiveX control, or get access to a CAB file that contains the ActiveX control.
Microsoft provides some utilities that you can use for assistance.
- Copy the CAB file to the appropriate folder:
- If you deploy to a server environment, then copy the CAB file to the following folder:
ORACLE_HOME\SWEApp\public\language_code\applets
where:
- ORACLE_HOME is the full path to the Siebel CRM installation directory on the Siebel Web Server.
- language_code is the three-letter code for the language. For example, ENU for U.S. English or JPN for Japanese.
