About Products in Siebel Energy

In Siebel Energy, a product is an item, a service, or a group of items and services that your organization provides to utility customers. Items might include meters and electronic thermostats. A service product might be, for example, a gas service, electric service, or energy audit. Product managers can define products and product details for use by sales and service representatives. You can set up the following types of products in Siebel Energy:

• Simple products. These products cannot be further broken up into smaller subproducts.
• Complex products. These products can be broken up into subproducts.
