Siebel Field Service Guide > Barcodes >
Setting Up the Barcode Interface
You set up the destinations for barcode data in specific views, applets, and fields in the Barcode Mappings view of the Service Administration screen. Using these mappings, barcode data is copied to specific views, applets, and fields. The data can create a new record or update an existing record. When mapping barcode data to fields, you add a record for each field to receive data from a barcode. NOTE: Siebel Field Service includes a complete series of barcode mappings. You do not have to add or change any mappings unless you want to configure custom mappings.

- Navigate to the Administration - Service screen, then the Barcode Mappings view.
- Create a new record for every field to receive barcode data, and complete the fields as appropriate.
