About the Process Flow for Preventive Maintenance Engine

The Preventive Maintenance Engine creates service requests and the required activities. Figure 33 shows the process flow for the Preventive Maintenance Engine.

The process flow for the Preventive Maintenance Engine includes the following steps:

1. Run the PM Engine for an asset or agreement.
2. Select the PM plan for the asset or for the assets of the entitlement.
3. For each trigger, if conditions require an action, then create service requests and activities, and then run the PM Engine. If conditions do not require an action, then run the PM Engine.
4. Continue the process until all necessary service requests and activities are created.
