Roadmap for Configuring Email Marketing Daemons

This topic contains the information that you need to configure Email Marketing Server and the Siebel Marketing application so that they can communicate with each other. To configure the Email Marketing daemons, perform the following tasks and processes:

• Identifying the Web Service Endpoint URL
• Process of Configuring the Email Sending Daemon
• Process of Configuring the Bounce Handler Daemon
• Process of Configuring the Click Through Daemon
• Configuring Email Marketing Components for HTTPS Communications

Before You Begin

Many of the configuration values you must specify for the Email Marketing daemons are specified in the properties file for the component, for example, the URL used to connect the Email Sending Daemon to Siebel Marketing, the location of the Siebel File System, and various other parameters that control the behavior of the Email Marketing components.

The component properties files, esd.properties, bhd.properties, and ctd.properties, are located in the ESD_root, BHD_root, and CTD_root installation directories, respectively.
