Mapping Individual Users
To allow synchronization between Siebel Business Applications and a PIM, you must map each Siebel user to a PIM user, and then enable synchronization for the user as described in the following procedure. This task is a step in Process of Setting SSSE Group and User Access Controls. To map a Siebel user to a PIM user
- Navigate to the Administration - PIM Server Integration screen, Sync Access Control, and then the User Map view.
- In the User Map list, click New, and then fill in the fields as shown in the following table.
|
|
Siebel User Login |
Enter the user's Siebel application login. |
PIM User Identifier |
Enter the user's Microsoft Exchange Server email address. This entry is in the form user@company.xxx (Example: jbrown@example.com). NOTE: This value must also match the email address in the user's Siebel employee record, with the case matching exactly. If necessary, the value can differ in case from the user's Microsoft Exchange email address, but if the match with the Siebel employee record is not exact, calendar synchronization for the user fails.
