Process of Integrating with the Virtual CTI Driver


To implement an integration using the Virtual CTI driver, you must carry out the following tasks:

  1. Configure the Virtual CTI driver.

    For more information, see Virtual CTI Driver Parameters.

    See also Configuring Communications Drivers and Profiles.

  2. Create a communications configuration for Oracle Contact On Demand and the Virtual CTI driver.

    For more information about creating communications configurations, Configuring Siebel CTI including Creating or Modifying a Communications Configuration.

    For information about commands and events for this configuration, see Virtual CTI Driver Commands and Virtual CTI Driver Events. See also Configuring Events and Commands.

  3. Specify agents and telesets for your communications configuration. Perform the following administration steps:
    1. Enter the Oracle Contact On Demand agent's Agent Login and Password for each Siebel agent.
    2. Associate one dummy teleset with each agent.

NOTE:  The Virtual CTI driver can only be used on the Microsoft Windows platform.
