BIOS Issues |
This chapter describes BIOS issues related to the Sun Blade X6450 server module.
During the BIOS and ELOM firmware update, the screen might display the message:
Error (0005) : CMOS Checksum Bad Press F2 to run SETUP Press F1 to load default values and continue. |
Note - The checksum error is not a problem. The message just indicates that the checksum for the new BIOS is different from the original. |
If the RKVM screen does not display a checksum message, you are finished; the system boots.
If the RKVM screen does display a checksum message:
2. When the BIOS main menu appears, press F9.
3. Change the settings as you wish.
4. Save your settings and exit.
To boot from a PCIe Express Module, enable the PCIe Express Module option ROM in the BIOS. Use the following steps:
1. During system startup, press F2 to change BIOS settings.
2. Navigate to Boot -> Boot Settings Configuration.
3. Select Enable PEM 0/1 FUN* Option ROM.
