Prism 6.0 User's Guide

Preface

The Prism 6.0 User's Guide explains how to use the Prism programming environment to develop, execute, debug, and visualize data in serial and parallel programs.

These instructions are intended for application programmers developing serial or parallel programs that are to run on a Sun(TM) HPC System. We assume you know the basics of developing and debugging programs, as well as the basics of the system on which you will be using the Prism(TM) environment. Some familiarity with the Solaris(TM) debugger dbx is helpful but not required. Prism is based on the X and OSF/Motif standards. Familiarity with these standards is also helpful but not required.

Using UNIX Commands

This document may not contain information on basic UNIX\256 commands and procedures such as shutting down the system, booting the system, and configuring devices.
