Startup

This chapter describes problems that might prevent Sun MTP from starting and explains how to resolve them. The following topics are included in this chapter:

Cannot Start Sun MTP

When trying to start Sun MTP, shmat errno=22 error messages are displayed and the region fails to start.

Insufficient Memory

The region does not start due to insufficient memory, even though you have an adequate amount of real memory on your system. Refer to the Sun Mainframe Transaction Processing Software Configuration Guide for memory configuration guidelines.

Kernel Parameters Incorrect

If your system does not start, your kernel parameters might be set incorrectly. Refer to the Sun Mainframe Transaction Processing Software Configuration Guide for information about operating environment parameters.
