After completing this procedure, the Ethernet interface is ready for operation. However, in order for other network devices to communicate with the system, your network administrator must enter the system's IP address and host name into the namespace on the network name server. The hme Fast Ethernet device driver for the system's standard Ethernet interface is automatically installed with the Solaris release.
