Netra j 3.0 Web Servers

Netra j 3.0 requires two web servers. One web server resides at port 81 and serves the pages of the Netra j 3.0 administration interface to a web browser. The other resides at port 80 and delivers the HotJava Views application to the NCs.

The Sun WebServers are configured as follows:

• A Sun WebServer is automatically configured at port 81. However, if a Sun WebServer already exists at port 81, it is left untouched.

• Netra j 3.0 inspects port 80, which is the default port for web servers. If a web server is not running on your machine at port 80, a Sun WebServer is configured at that port. If a web server is running at port 80 (Netscape Enterprise, for example), the existing web server is left intact but it is not configured for use with Netra j 3.0.
