To Check That a Directory Is Shared

1. As role admin, at label admin_low, run the command showmount -e:

   $ showmount -e

   1. If it returns an export list, the directory is shared, as in:

      export list for install_server:
      /export/install/ts7_sparc
      /jumpstart
      

   2. If it returns the following error, start the nfs.server daemon.

      showmount: server: RPC: Program not registered
