Types of Labels

Besides the clearance labels mentioned already, there are two other types of labels, sensitivity labels and information labels. One of each type of label must be defined in each site's label_encodings(4) file:

• Clearance

• Sensitivity label

• Information label

Even though information labels are not used in Trusted Solaris 7, one information label must be defined.

All types of labels have these components defined in the label_encodings(4): classifications and optional words.
