The subnet IP addresses and mask are assigned after the farm is Active. See Connecting Farm Elements for details about IP addresses and net mask assignments. Consider the following when using the Configure Subnet dialog box.
The Subnet IP is the base IP address for elements on this subnet. The IP addresses are assigned when the farm is in the activated.
The Mask is the net mask that is applied to elements on this subnet and is assigned when the farm is activated.
VLAN shows the VLAN that is automatically or manually assigned.
The VLAN name list is maintained in the Configure: VLANs dialog box and the individual subnet and VLAN associations are made in the Configure Subnet dialog box. Refer to Configuring a VLAN Manually for details on how to manually configure a VLAN.
