Installing VMware ESX 4

The installation of VMware ESX 4 includes the following tasks.

Note - If you are going to install your OS on a disk that is part of a RAID array, you must configure the RAID array before installing your OS. See your disk management documentation for details.


Booting options described in this document include local DVD boot using the system console or remote DVD or ISO image file boot using ILOM console redirection. VMware supports other booting options, such as PXE (see the VMware documentation for details).
