This document contains release notes for Suntrademark Management Center 4.0 Version 2 add-on software for Sun SPARC® Enterprise M3000/M4000/M5000/M8000/M9000 servers. The document includes the following sections:


What’s New in This Release

The Sun Management Center 4.0 Version 2 add-on software for Sun SPARC Enterprise M3000/M4000/M5000/M8000/M9000 servers is an new (or update) release adding support for the Sun SPARC Enterprise M3000 Server and requires XCP 1080.

Server/console packages for x86 are now provided to allow SPARC agent platforms to be monitored from x86 consoles. Support for x86 consoles is only included in core Sun Management Center 4.0, or later.

Note - You must install all the patches required for your platform and your operating system before installing Sun Management Center 4.0 software and this add-on.

SunMC alarms do not appear in the Alarms tab after a successful SP failover.

Click on the “Reload the Alarm Table” button to refresh the table and display the correct alarm state.

The physical view is not seen on the web console. This occurs for both the Domain Config reader and Platform Admin Module on all Mx000 systems.

Use the Javatrademark Sun MC console to see physical view for Mx000 add-ons.

M3000 Server Is Not Translated in Localization Files. Message files modfied to include M3000 model have not been translated. Some message containing model information in languages other than English will not show M3000 model

In languages other than English, the M3000 model can be verified in the system table.
