DTrace Monitoring enables you to use the DTrace utility of the SolarisTM Operating System (OS) to monitor the performance of Sun GlassFishTM Enterprise Server.
DTrace Monitoring is beta release software. Use this software for evaluation purposes only. Do not use this software in production deployments.
Before you can download and install DTrace Monitoring, you must have a Sun Online Account.
For information about how to download DTrace Monitoring, see Downloading and Installing DTrace Monitoring in Sun GlassFish Enterprise Manager DTrace Monitoring 3.0 Beta Installation and Quick Start Guide. Before downloading DTrace Monitoring, ensure that you have your account username and password.
DTrace Monitoring 3.0 Beta requires the following software:
Sun GlassFish Enterprise Server v3
JDKTM release 7
Before installing DTrace Monitoring, ensure that JDK release 7 is installed and that Enterprise Server uses this release of the JDK. JDK release 7 is available for download from the Java Early Access Downloads site.

The DynamicImport-Package: org.glassfish.flashlight.provider entry is omitted from the manifest for the mail.jar file. As a result, the probes for the JavaMail service are not fired.

When an HTTP request with the connection header Connection: keep-alive is sent to a network listener for whose HTTP protocol Comet support is enabled, keep-alive probes are not fired.
