Setting Up SNMP Agents
An SNMP agent is a module that resides within a managed device. The agent is responsible for responding to requests from the manager and for sending traps to a recipient that informs the systems administrator of potential problems.
Command: Configuration > Network
1. Select the Snmp Agent.
2. To activate the SNMP agent for the library, select Enable.
3. You can modify the following default setting for the SNMP agent:

Agent community string. When set to public, requests coming from any community string will be accepted |
Grace Period |
5 minutes |
1 to 5 minutes. Once you enter the password, you have 1-5 minutes to Set any values for the agent. |
4. Click Apply.
5. Click Reload to display the modified settings.
To reset the default values for the SMMP Agent, click Reset Default.
