C H A P T E R 1 - Introduction to Sun Java Studio Enterprise 7 Software

This chapter briefly describes the Sun Java Studio Enterprise 7 2004Q4 (Java Studio Enterprise) product offering. Java Studio Enterprise software provides an entire set of tools and servers on two CD-ROMs, one DVD, or two download files. The media structure enables you to quickly install the tools that you need to get started (by using disk 1 or file 1 containing Tools Components). It also provides the ability to install optional servers either right away or at a later date (by using disk 2 or file 2 containing the Optional Servers). You can customize your installation and downloads to best meet your needs. The complete physical media kit for Java Studio Enterprise also includes one DVD that contains all files for installing on all the supported platforms.
