Known Bugs

The following is a list of the priority 1, 2, and 3 bugs associated with Solstice DiskSuite 4.2.1. The priority and severity of the bugs is given in parentheses following the BugID number.

• 4182141 (P2/S2) -- Access to a UFS filesystem on Solstice DiskSuite volume can hang. If a trans device, which has a shared log, is cleared using metaclear(1M) the log thread is shutdown. This causes other filesystems that use the shared log to hang.

• 4234927 (P2/S3) -- Using metaoffline(1M) to take a metadevice offline after lockfs(1M) fails to leave the file system in a consistent state. This problem is a result of the mirror being the master device of a trans. There is nothing in metaoffline to flush the trans log which can result in an inconsistent file system for backups.
