Frame Buffer Power Management (FBPM) Might Not Be Enabled by Default (4502650)

Frame Buffer Power Management (FBPM) might not be enabled by default in the Solaris 8 10/01 operating environment.

Workaround: To enable FBPM, follow these steps.

1. Type the following on a command line.

   % xset +fbpm

2. Save your CDE session.

The FBPM settings are user-specific and are stored in your home directory. If you login on a system that is not FBPM capable and save the changes to your CDE session, FBPM will be disabled. To avoid disabling FBPM in the future, do not save your CDE session if you are logged in on a system that does not support FBPM. If FBPM becomes disabled, repeat the workaround.
