Chapter 37 Platform Names and Groups

Table 37–1 lists the platform names and groups of various hardware platforms. You might need this information when preparing a system on which to install Solaris 8 software.

Note –

On a running system, you can also use the uname -i command to determine a system's platform name or the uname -m command to determine a system's platform group.
