If the Power Key Does Not Suspend the System

Use a shell window to check that the key processing daemon is present.

Type:

% ps -eaf | grep speckeysd

If the resulting output does not list /usr/openwin/bin/speckeysd, you should start it.

In a shell window, type:

% /usr/openwin/bin/speckeysd
