Installazione del software supplementare Sun Computer Systems per Solaris 7 5/99 su un sistema standalone con pkgadd

Per installare su un sistema standalone i package contenuti nel CD Supplement con pkgadd, procedere in questo modo:

  1. Inserire il CD Supplement nel lettore di CD-ROM.

    Verrà aperta la finestra della Gestione di file.

  2. Aprire una finestra di comando e diventare superutente usando il comando su e la password di superutente.

  3. Digitare: 

    # /usr/sbin/pkgadd -d /cdrom/cdrom0/Product nomi_dei_package

L'argomento dell'opzione-d deve essere il percorso completo di un dispositivo o di una directory. Se non viene specificato il dispositivo su cui risiede il package, pkgadd lo cerca nella directory di spool predefinita (/var/spool/pkg). Se il package non si trova in questa posizione, l'installazione non viene eseguita.
