Installation Issues

When you run the Java Enterprise System Installer, Access Manager 7 2005Q4 has two installation types (or modes):

• Legacy (6.x) type supports Access Manager 6 features, including the Access Manager 6 Console and directory information tree (DIT).

• Realm (7.x) type supports Access Manager 7 features, including the new Access Manager 7 Console.

If you are installing Access Manager with any of the following products, you must select Legacy (6.x) mode:

• Sun Java System Portal Server

• Sun Java System Communications Services servers, including Messaging Server, Calendar Server, Instant Messaging, or Delegated Administrator
