ProcedureTo Install the McData EFCM Lite Software

Install the EFCM Lite management software on the management station mgmt-amer-01.

Steps

  1. Insert the EFCM Lite CD into the CD-ROM drive.

  2. Change directory to /cdrom/efcm81_solaris.

  3. Run the EFCM Lite nstaller and specify default location /opt/ when prompted:

    # ./installer

  4. Start the EFC manager over a secure connection:


    # ssh -X mgmt-amer-01.us

# cd /opt/EFCM81/bin
# /opt/EFCM81/bin/EFC_Manager Start
# exit

  5. Launch the EFC client with the following command:

    /opt/EFCM81/bin/EFC_client
