NAME
enable - runs the specified component
SYNOPSIS
enable --user admin_user[ --password admin_password ][ --host localhost ]
[ --port 4848 ] [ --secure|-s ][ --type application|ejb|web|connector ]
[ --instance instance_name ]component_name
Use the enable command to run the specified component.
If the component is already enabled, then it is re-enabled. The component
must have been deployed in order to be enabled. If it has not been deployed,
then an error message is returned.
- --user

administrative
user associated for the instance.
- --password
-
administrative
password corresponding to the administrative user.
- --host
-
host name
of the machine hosting the administrative instance.
- --port
-
administrative
port number associated with the administrative host.
- --passwordfile
-
file containing passwords appropriate for the command (e.g., administrative
instance).
- --secure
-
if true,
uses SSL/TLS tocommunicate with the administrative instance.
- --type
-
identifies
the type of deployed component; defaults to the type application.
- --instance
-
name
of the instance.

component_name
-
name of the component to be enabled.
Example 1. Using enable
asadmin> enable --user admin --passwordfile passwords.txt --host localhost --port 4848 --type web --instance server1 simple
Enabled the WAR module: simple
Where: the simple WAR module is enabled.
