DSEE Packaging Formats

DSEE 6.0 is available in two packaging formats:

• Java Enterprise System distribution, the native package distribution that is provided as part of Sun Java Enterprise System. The Java Enterprise System distribution does not include the Directory Server Resource Kit.

  You install software from the Java Enterprise System distribution with the Java Enterprise System installer.

• Zip distribution, which supports non-root installations. The zip distribution does not include the Directory Service Control Center.

If you plan to use the Evaluation Kit, which requires both the Directory Server Resource Kit and the Directory Service Control Center, you need to install both packaging formats.
