Creating a Web Module

To create a web module:

1. From the Forte File menu, select New.
2. From the Template wizard, expand the JSP & Servlet node and select Web Module.
3. Select the Next button.
4. Specify the absolute path to the directory for the web module or select the button to navigate to the desired directory and select Add. In this tutorial, the d:\MyWebModules\WebModule directory is used.
5. Select Finish.

   You may be prompted with the following message dialog.

   

6. Select OK to dismiss the dialog.

   A new Web Module is created and mounted in the File system. You can view it from the Explorer Filesystems tab or project tab.

7. Select WEB-INF node to view its Properties Window.

8. Enter a value for the Context Root field that corresponds with the name of a web module directory. In this tutorial, WebModule is used.

   The Context Root will be used in the URL when executing a webmodule within the IDE.
