The simplest way to start the broker is to type

jmqbroker -tty

in a separate terminal window.  The jmqbroker script is located in the <JMQ_HOME>/bin directory.

The broker is ready to accept client connections once you see something like

[08/May/2001:15:25:25 PDT] [B1039]: Broker "jmqbroker" ready.
