This installation and configuration guide is written for system administrators who install the SIMS software on the machine designated as a client desktop. It describes the software installation and configuration of the components that make up SIMS client applications. A system administrator should use this book to determine the necessary resources required to run the SIMS software on client desktops. The SIMS documentation sets addresses common installation procedures for all platforms. It highlights platform-specific requirements, if any.

This system administrator has previous experience planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting an enterprise email system. |

Moderately technical system administrators with some Solaris experience who manage a network composed of Sun workstations, PCs, and Apple computers that share resources. This system administrator does not have previous experience planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting an email system. |
