Running the Installation Script

  1. Ensure that you have already set up the DISPLAY variable.
  2. Insert the SIMS CD-ROM into the disk drive.
  Make sure that your CD is mounted to the /cdrom/sun_internet_mail_3_5 directory.
  3. Change to the SIMS product directory.

  
% cd /cdrom/sun_internet_mail_3_5
 

  4. As non-root user, run the setup script from the software CD-ROM.

  
% setup

Note - Running setup results in cleaning up the /tmp directory.
  5. Review the information page and then click Install Main Menu.
  6. Make a selection from the main menu as described in the next step.
