Deployment

Netscape Application Builder enables you to deploy finished applications to one or more Netscape Application Servers.

You can deploy applications using the following deployment dialog boxes:

Deploy Project
Description
Select the server(s) to which you deploy your JAR file.

Properties

Value
JARS to deploy
JAR files currently available for deployment from the development machine to one or more NAS machines.
Servers to deploy to
Registered servers to which you will deploy your application.
Deploy
Deploy your project to the servers listed in "Servers to deploy to."
Register
Register additional servers with Netscape Application Builder.
Un-Register
Remove selected servers from list of registered servers.

Register Server
Description
Before you can deploy a project to a particular server, you must register that server with Netscape Application Builder (NAB).

Value
Server type
Type of software installed on the server you are registering:
Server or server:port
Server name or server name and alternate port number.
User name
Valid user name for the server.
Password
UserName's valid password for the server.
Register
Register the new server with NAB.

Description
Remove one or more server(s) from the Registered Servers list box.

Registered servers
All servers whose information you want to remove from the registry. You will no longer be able to deploy to these servers without re-registering them.

Download a project from a server to your local machine.

List of all available registered servers.

List of all JARs on the selected server.
Download
Copy a deployed project from the selected server to your local machine.
Register
Register a server with the local machine.
Un-register
Remove information about selected servers from the local machine's registry.
