Preface

The Sun Update Connection - Enterprise Bare Metal Installation Guide explains how to install and use the Bare Metal Installation (BMI) server as a tool for SunSM Update Connection – Enterprise. The BMI server is compatible with Sun Update Connection – Enterprise release 1.0.2 or later.

Who Should Use This Book

This book is intended for Sun Update Connection – Enterprise users who want to use the BMI server to automate the installation and recycling of a SolarisTM Operating System (Solaris OS) or Linux distribution and machine profile on a bare metal machine.
