Defining a Paragraph

You can define a paragraph element only into a paragraph list document. All content in a paragraph list document must be within paragraph elements.

To define a paragraph into a paragraph list document

In a paragraph list document, select the paragraph(s) that you want to define as a paragraph element.
From the Define group, select Paragraph.

Alternatively, right-click the Documaker document and select Documaker > Define Paragraph.

Note

If you select only a portion of a paragraph, the entire paragraph will automatically be selected in the next step, and the paragraph element will be based on this entire paragraph.

Enter a Name.

if you enter an invalid character, a yellow triangle is displayed next to the name; hover your cursor over the triangle to view a message that indicates the invalid character

Enter a Description.
Click OK when done.

Tip

You can also create paragraph documents which can later be included in a paragraph list in Studio.
