Elements are Documaker objects in a Documaker document. There are several different types of elements, including fields, triggers and graphics.
When you insert a field, trigger, or graphic resource into a Documaker document, it becomes an element in the document.
For example, you select a field resource named Address
and insert into a document. An Address
element will now appear in your document. You can edit or delete this element from the document and it will not affect the original resource on which the element was based.
Sections and paragraphs are elements only, they are not stored as resources.
Elements in documents appear as Word content controls:
The blue tab indicates the name of the element. The box below the tab contains the value of the element.
Note | Not all Word content controls are Documaker elements; you may have other Word content controls in a Documaker document. |
